RACE 1 - #6 – OUR CLOSURE – 6/1 – WP – Distance specialist over the sticky stuff and this mare today won’t know what to do over the actual main as she’s only been racing over poly and the blades.
RACE 2 - #5 – SPARTINA – 15/1 – WP – A nice effort first out going 8F right over this turf course, just 20 days ago. A big 230K, Keeneland purchase and will be much fitter today and note they get Joel up in the irons today for this small connex!
RACE 3 - #4 – EMBODIMENT – 5/1 – WP – He’s in for the win, the hood comes on today and he’s also been clipped after his 1st start and he’s a Godolphin homebred!
RACE 4 - #3 – KIZZY B – 5/1 – WP – We hate to back a runner that loves to run 2nd. This girl doesn’t like the winners circle at all. But she gets the hood back on today after 2 races without it and she ran a big race here in the spring with Mitch up also. We’re expecting a gate to wire win today!
RACE 5 - #7 – MORGS WORLD – 20/1 – WP – She’s basically ran two winning races in a row. She’s continued to work well off those two big efforts and its always a plus when you see a young horse run two strong races back-to-back.
RACE 6 - #1 – BON RAISON – 5/1 – WP – Bon should get the perfect pace setup for his sling shot move and he ran his career best race right over this main track last October!
RACE 7 - #3 – CHATTALOT – 3/1 – WP – This son Midnight Lute is a runner and who’d thought that Steve would only have 1 win at the meet on closing day.
RACE 8 - #6 – LIKE THE KING – 4/1 – WP – We’ve always loved his grit and fight down the lane. He’s a much better runner over the weeds and poly and it’ll show today down the lane with a clean trip.
RACE 9 - #8 – FORT PECK – 20/1 – WP – As we’ve stated in the past, when you get to races at 1 1/8 or longer, you start having to handicap trainers. Robert D., claimed this to run at the Spa and he aired going this exact same distance and also received his career best speed # after 29 races, (LOL)
He’s the only horse in the race with 2 wins at this distance and with Cohen up today, he’s Roberts go to go, expect him to be close from the jump.
RACE 10 - #8 – GUN SLINGIN – 5/1 – WP – Big work on the 12th with a stable mate, he drew off from that mate with authority and is ready to fire today.
